Okay so the Wedding Maxi is always a great place to start for wedding guest as it is easy to wear for a whole day event, you can eat as much wedding cake and nobody would notice and most of all you can get away with wearing flat shoes (Hallelujah!!!). But how do you avoid looking like you are part of the wedding party….
Step 1 – Print. 9 times out of 10 bridesmaids dresses will be a block colour to avoid drawing away from the bride in pictures. So you can not going wrong with a dash of print.
Step 2 . Accessories. If you do decide to go for a solid print maxi dress then always make sure you accessorize it with bold stand out jewellery. Statement necklaces and bracelets are always a good start.
Step 3. Be bold with shapes and silhouettes. You don’t have to stick to the strapless chiffon number. Try a one shoulder in silk! the world is your oysters.
And last but no means least…. Make sure it fits correctly. Nobody likes to see a dress dragging on the floor picking up dirt in its tracks. Always make sure when trying on maxi dresses you bring along a pair of shoes that are you are likely to wear for the event. That way you can judge if the length is correct for you. If you do find that they are too long pop to your local dry cleaner. For less that £5 they could shorten the length of the dress for you.
